Launch of the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium on Dementia (LAC-CD) website and its social networks

28 de abril 2020

Dear GBHI Community,

On behalf of Agustín Ibáñez, Atlantic Senior Fellow, we are pleased to announce the launch of the website of the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium on Dementia (LAC-CD) in three languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish), as well as its related social media.

“We hope to collaborate with you to use the website to (a) boost the consortium visibility; (b) deliver accessible resources and educational material; and (c) tailor the content to the general public, scientists, and health care professionals,” said Ibáñez.

In 2018, Ibáñez and Mario Parra helped to launch LAC-CD, a regional organization overseeing and promoting clinical and research activities on dementia. The budding group—which includes many Atlantic Fellows and GBHI faculty—focuses on building networks across LAC to support collaborative training, research, and clinical practice. The Multi-partner Consortium to Expand Dementia Research in Latin America, or ReDLat, is a project of LAC-CD.

Website resources include clinical and research guidebooks and guidelines, projects information, videos, tutorials, and a member directory. Feel free to use this website and social media to amplify the visibility of your work on dementia in the region.
